These terms cover your use of the Westchester Hebrew High School website and, in the section below, our text messaging programme. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

Using this site

The content here is provided for families, applicants and the WHHS community. Information about tuition, dates, programmes and staffing is kept current but may change; nothing on this site is a contract or an offer of admission. Please confirm anything you are relying on with the admissions office.

Information you send us

When you complete a form, please give accurate information, and only submit details about a child for whom you are the parent or legal guardian. What we do with it is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Text messaging terms

These terms govern the WHHS text messaging programme.

Programme

Westchester Hebrew High School sends text messages to families who have opted in. Messages come from the school’s number, 914.698.0806.

Getting messages

You opt in by ticking the consent box on a form on this site, by giving written consent on a paper form, or by texting us first. Consent is never a condition of applying to, enrolling at, or purchasing anything from WHHS. We will only text you about the programme you agreed to.

What we send

• Admissions follow-up, visit confirmations, and open house details.
• Application status updates.
• Parent-teacher conference reminders and booking notices.
• Transportation and bus alerts.
• School closures, schedule changes and emergency notices.

How often

Message frequency varies with what is happening at school and what you signed up for. Most families receive a small number of messages each month; there may be more around an open house, a conference cycle, or a weather closure.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. WHHS does not charge for these messages, but your mobile carrier may charge for sending or receiving them, depending on your plan. Ask your carrier if you are unsure.

Stopping messages

If you opt out and later want messages again, reply START or contact the school.

Reply HELP to any message for the programme name and how to reach us, or call 914.698.0806 ext. 308.

Carriers

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier’s network and your device. Supported on major US carriers.

Your number

Please tell us if your mobile number changes, or if you give up a number you gave us, so that we do not text somebody else by mistake. We do not sell, rent, lease or share your mobile number or your consent with third parties for their marketing.

Content on this site

The text, photographs, crest and design here belong to WHHS or are used with permission. Photographs of students are published with the permissions the school holds. Please do not reproduce them without asking us first.

Other services

Some things are handled by partners under their own terms: donations by Givebutter, tuition assistance assessment by FACTS Grant & Aid, and student records by Zehut. Links to other sites are provided for convenience and we are not responsible for their content.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site or the messaging programme means the current version applies.
